Our Story

The year was 2019. I was approached by a Mom to see if I was available to give Hebrew classes to her daughter and a couple of friends. She was looking for something intentional and engaging, fun, and hands-on; something that would give the children a similar experience to Hebrew School, yet with the flexibility of their personal schedules, and in the comfort of their own homes.

 

I went into full swing preparing a curriculum tailored to this group of four, and in September of 2019, our JEL family was born. Over the next three years, this group went on to create a special bond as they studied, investigated, laughed, created, and enjoyed  - all in a relaxed and exciting atmosphere.  

 

When the pandemic hit, we continued strong, alternating between ZOOM classes and learning outdoors. A second group joined the family in September 2021, and while the first group graduated in June 2022, our second group is still going strong. 

 

We are a little secret gem hidden in the midst of a huge city, and we look forward to the continuous growth of our JEL family!
